SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

We are Social Creatures. What it means to be social has changed dramatically though in the past 20+ years. With the onset of social media, we have a new and exciting way to interact with our audience. Interaction requires a two-way conversation though. So how you handle your social media accounts matter. Simply checking boxes and posting once in a while, is not enough. You must know what social media outlets are right for you, what kind of conversations you should be having and how to control those conversations in a way that shows you care for your target audience.


Being active on social media serves multiple purposes:

  • Builds Brand Awareness and Trust for Potential Clients
    Continually posting and interacting on your social media channels can cause you to frequently be in front of your potential clients. For those who have never done business with you before, this builds trust in your brand because your name now becomes a “household name”.

  • Keeps Current Clients Engaged
    By posting interesting and engaging content, this keeps your current clients interacting with your company so when the time comes for them to need your service again, you are at the top of their mind.

  • Builds and Keeps Relationships
    What you really want are relationships. By always responding to comments on your channels and pinpointing key people to interact with, you are doing just that. People are much more likely to purchase from someone they have a relationship with.

  • Customer Service/Reputation Management
    When people have frustrations with a company, they will often turn to social media to vent their frustrations. Being ready to respond to them in a professional and kind manner, and then truly caring about solving their problem is vital to preserving your reputation.


WHAT WE DO

Discovery. We follow the the findings from the marketing plan in order to best align your target market and goals with your social media plan. In our marketing plan document, we compare your demographic with the current demographics for each social media platform and discover which ones we should focus on for your specific business.

Strategy. We take what we've learned in the previous phases and use that to create a social media strategy. This is the plan that we will use to help guide us through how we post, what we post, how often we post and who we post it to. We are not just throwing content up there. We take time to make sure that what is being shared is relevant to your company and engaging for your audience.

Scheduling. We utilize a social media planning tool such as Hootsuite to schedule out the posts for each month on the various platforms to ensure consistency. We know there is no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to what day or time to post, and how often to post, so we constantly test out different days and times to see what resonates the best with your audience.

Real-time. As we go along, we also sprinkle in posts on-the-fly if something is relevant and/or timely, so that we are keeping up-to-date on current happenings in the community and in your business. We also keep ourselves notified of messages and comments sent to your page so that we can respond to them in a timely manner.

Connecting. We actively search out and follow other social media brands that we feel will be beneficial to your business. We then keep in touch with these other brands by commenting, liking and sharing their posts in order to drive brand awareness from them and their audience.

Reporting. We provide you with a monthly update on your social media accounts so that you are in the know on which ones are doing well, what posts are most engaging and what kind of increase in activity and follows you have had.

Being Agile. After evaluating the social media reporting and analytics over a set period of time (usually 6 months to a year), we determine which social media outlets are performing the best for you and which (if any) are underperforming. We may suggest a decrease or increase in the amount of time and/or posting frequency depending on these findings. We are constantly testing and analyzing what we do so that we are not spinning our wheels in something that is not working or missing an opportunity to capitalize on something that is working.
